LION Trust
The Lilongwe Institute of Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery (LION) Trust was established in 2016 to finance and run a new, independent musculoskeletal institute at Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) in Lilongwe, Malawi - to improve the treatment of injuries and musculoskeletal and neurosurgical disorders, and to train specialised surgeons and other health workers for the nation.
The Board has the responsibility for overseeing the overall strategy and governance of the institute according to the Trust Deed, and for hiring the executive management team.
